My name is Ryan Bloom. I was born on July 6th, 1983, in Denver, Colorado. I did not know my father growing up as he was somewhat abusive towards my mother. I have a brother, who is a whopping 14 years older than I am - making him nearly old enough to be my dad. In the absence of my real father, my brother has infact taken care of me much in the way a father would, and I am sure he does not realize how thankful I am for that, even if we don't talk as much as we should anymore.
Videogames are pretty much it for me; they have been a part of my life litterally ever since I can remember us having an Atari 2600 when I was 3 years old. I would very much like to break into just about any sector of the videogame industry; most notably something involving game design, art, or even game journalism. It is my dream job. As of now, I made "fangames" (also known as "doujin games") released for free on the internet. My biggest claim to fame in this sector is a fangame known as "Super Mario: Blue Twilight DX". As far as gaming journalism goes, I write a lot of reviews and submit them to websites that allow public user reviews, but I have been printed in a magazine known as The Gamer's Quarter for my article, "Dissecting a Hedgehog: An In-Depth Analysis of Sonic the Hedgehog", in which I basically go nuts with my Sonic fanboy-ism and describe over a series of ten pages why the series was successful in the past and why the series in the present seems to be missing the magic that made the Sonic series so amazing in 1991. I have also won fanart contests, most notably I got "HGM Fanart Pick" in Hardcore Gamer Magazine in Issue #7 (February 2006).
I am a typical overweight basement dwelling Geek. I dropped out of Highschool in 2001 after depressingly flunking my Freshman, Sophmore, and Junior years for reasons I still do not understand to this date. My Mom thinks I suffered some sort of trauma in middle school, which was pretty rough for me (The friends I had during that period of my life were awful people; I was the punching bag of the group and I was too much of a loser to stand up and tell them to stop until Highschool), but I figure I probably just have a learning disorder; I seem to learn better via hands-on training than I do reading from text books. Always planning to get my GED, I never have - always postponed to "next weekend" or "next month" for various reasons, most beyond my control. After five years of postponning, I fear I have forgotten too much from Highschool to pass, even though I took my pre-GED directly after I dropped out and learned I scored high enough to pass.
Hehe...you know, you look a lot different than I thought you would. I kinda had you pictured as a blonde haired guy with spiked hair. Kinda like Epon in real life.
You still have the 2 foot long hair? Or did you cut it? Still look the same except for the beard. I thought you said you would *never* show/draw your face on the count monitors would break. Tehehe. No worries, you still look as handsome as ever.
