Generic Thing by anotherblazehedgehog Generic Thing by anotherblazehedgehog
So I drew and hand-inked a generic picture of Sonic. Inking's not to great, some bits look weird. I used the new colored pencils I got for Christmas, and I dunno if they're very good. They're really light and it's hard to get any good color. You can tell by how weird the coloring looks on this.

I hate hand-inking. After you ink, you have to erase all the pencils and that's what kills me. By the time I'm done erasing an entire page, my arm is dead and I can't finish inking or color it for like an hour.

Hm...
His head looks a little bit squished, but other than that the drawing is pretty cool. And I feel your pain with the hand-inking thing. I tried it once and never went back again. That's why I just have sketches (that I've yet to upload...), actually. I need to scan them in and try computer-based inking. In a program with layers, I can imagine it being much easier than inking by hand. "Trace here, here, here...[later]...done! And now to get rid of the original! *original layer baleeted!*

Yup! But certain people have told me that doing that removes the sort of... "hand crafted" style. But inking by hand takes so long...

You did a great job! =D

Generic Sonic poses make him look in-character, so it's fine, I think. Anyhow, well done. The color has alot of texture to it. You have a unique style.
